Get to know the newest stage automation technology in the recently renovated Tampere Theatre and experience the biggest theatre festival in the Nordics, Tampere Theatre Festival
Performing arts professionals and technical directors from across the Nordic countries gather in Tampere for Stage Automation Days – a unique opportunity to explore the latest stage automation solutions developed by Insta Automation, Finland’s market leader with over 20 years of experience. Tampere Theatre and Insta Automation have been working closely together to develop innovative modern stage mechanism solutions for the 113‑year‑old main stage located in the city’s central square. During your stay you will enjoy the performances and atmosphere of Tampere Theatre Festival, the oldest and largest professional theatre festival in the Nordics.
Stage Automation Days will take place August 4–6, 2026 and feature a curated programme of talks and a case study on the complete renovation of Tampere Theatre’s stage technology, along with Finnish and international theatre productions and social events.
Insta Automation offers a limited number of travel grants covering travel costs, accommodation and a social programme for selected participants.
The selection will prioritise theatres or projects that are planning a major renovation or an upgrade of their stage automation in the near future.
Applications deadline: May 12, 2026.
Applicants will be notified by May 20.
Even if your application is not successful, you’re still very welcome to join us in Tampere. In that case, we are happy to offer complimentary access to the Stage Automation Days and the programme. However, travel and accommodation costs must be covered by the participant.

Tekniska chefer och andra professionella inom scenkonst från hela Norden samlas i Tammerfors för Stage Automation Days – en unik möjlighet att utforska de senaste lösningarna inom scenautomation som utvecklats av Insta Automation, Finlands marknadsledare med över 20 års erfarenhet.
Tammerfors Teater och Insta Automation har arbetat nära tillsammans för att utveckla innovativa, moderna lösningar för scenmekanik till den 113 år gamla huvudscenen som ligger vid centraltorget i staden. Under ditt besök får du njuta av föreställningarna och atmosfären på Tampere Theatre Festival, den äldsta och största professionella teaterfestivalen i Norden.
Stage Automation Days äger rum 4–6 augusti 2026 och erbjuder ett kuraterat program med föredrag och en fallstudie om den fullständiga renoveringen av scentekniken vid Tammerfors Teater, tillsammans med finska och internationella teaterproduktioner samt sociala evenemang.
Insta Automation erbjuder ett begränsat antal resestipendier som täcker resekostnader, boende och ett socialt program för utvalda deltagare. Vi kommer att prioritera teatrar eller projekt som har planer på en större renovering eller förbättring av scenautomationen inom en snar framtid.

Även om din ansökan inte skulle beviljas ett resestipendium är du fortfarande varmt välkommen att delta. I så fall erbjuder vi gärna en kostnadsfri tillgång till Stage Automation Days och programmet, men resa och boende får du stå för själv.
